Hi families! 


Everyone is all done with their NWEA! The kids did such a great job and showed many positive behaviors throughout the testing days. We had some extra recess on Friday to celebrate! 


Kindness Party: Our Kindness Party will be on Wednesday, February 14th, from 2:00-3:00. Parents are welcome to join us! Here is a link to the sign up if you are able to send anything in. Please remember that we do have a peanut and red food dye allergy. Thank you so much!

Students are allowed to bring in valentines for the class, but please make sure you have enough for the whole class. We have 24 students. Here is a list of student names if you want to write names on cards!  


Spring Conferences: Students will be starting their Spring Conference slides this week! We will be evaluating our fall goals and creating new ones. Spring Conferences are not required for every student. I have reached out to families I would like to meet with. If you would like to meet with me, here is a link to the sign up. If there are no more slots, or none of the available slots work for you, please let me know and we can find a time. If you do not feel it is necessary, your student can present their slides to you at home. 


Math: Last week, we finished Lessons 4-7 of Unit 5. This week we will be doing Lessons 8-12. Additional practice using IXL Textbook will be extremely beneficial for students who are having a hard time with this. 

Shoes & Boots: Due to the mud and wet conditions, students need to bring boots and a pair of shoes to school to change into after recess. An extra pair of socks and gloves would also be helpful! All snow & cold weather gear is essential every day. Thanks for your help with this!

  Hi families!  Thank you to everyone who sent in snacks for our trip and necessities for our classroom!   Here are some reminders for our trip to Lansing tomorrow:  All students and chaperones meet us in the classroom at  7:15 AM. We will leave promptly at 7:30 AM.  Everyone needs to bring their own lunch and drink for the day.  Kids are allowed to bring one electronic device. Students may also want to bring a bag that they will be comfortable carrying around all day.  We will be walking all day, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. We will collect the kids' field trip t-shirts at the end of the day.  We should arrive back to the school around 5:00-5:15. Please pick your student up at the front of the school.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are looking forward to this memorable trip!
